The Price of Paradise

The Price of Paradise Volume I (Mutual Publishing 1992) and The Price of Paradise Volume II (Mutual Publishing 1993) are anthologies of intentionally provocative essays about Hawaii’s most controversial policy issues.  Many of the chapters were still being cited more than 30 years later.

The Price of Paradise Radio Show aired live on Hawaii Public Radio from 1993 to 1998 with a goal of generating lively and informed dialogue on topics of pressing interest to the people of Hawaii (see Radio page for topics, guests, dates, and audio recordings of the 221 shows).

POP ’94 was a grassroots community effort to elevate and spotlight the 1994 gubernatorial campaigns. See the executive summary, detailed written report, and sample media coverage.
